Our focus is on creating the most supportive and respectful school culture from which we build literacy and numeracy. We enrich student learning through specialist programs such as Information and Communications Technology, Kurnai Language, Visual Art, Science, Library, Kitchen, Garden, Sustainability, Physical Education, Music and the Performing Arts.
Paynesville Primary School has achieved High Performing School status with student achievement in reading, writing and mathematics, second to none. Our students lead their learning journey and are supported by staff and parents. At Paynesville Primary School we are strong believers that every child can succeed.
Maths and reading extension programs run across the school giving extra time and support to students showing strength in these particular areas. After school music and art tuitions operate throughout the week with a wide range of options on offer. We also offer an After School Activities program.
Paynesville Primary School has strong parent and community support. We offer students a wide range of high quality curricular and co-curricular programs and activities. Students in grades 3 and 4 attend a local 3 day camp every year and the grade 5 and 6 students alternate between a Melbourne experience and biking the local rail trail. Paynesville Primary is also a member of the Global Education Community and grade 5 and 6 stduents have the opportunity to visit sister schools in New Zealand and China on a two year rotation.
