Curriculum
Paynesville Primary School delivers programs based on the Victorian Curriculum, which is the curriculum for Victorian schools. The Victorian Curriculum incorporates the Australian Curriculum and reflects Victorian standards and priorities. The curriculum is the common set of knowledge and skills required by students for life-long learning, social development and active and informed citizenship.
Our teachers work together to develop teaching and learning plans to successfully teach, assess and report student learning achievement. Throughout each school year, we cover all learning areas of the curriculum including English, Mathematics, Languages, Science, Technologies (Design and Technologies and Digital Technologies), Health and Physical Education, The Humanities (Civics and Citizenship, Economics and Business, Geography and History) and The Arts (Dance, Drama, Media Arts, Music, Visual Arts, Visual Communication Design). We also develop Critical and Creative Thinking, as well as Ethical, Intercultural, Personal and Social Capabilities. |
