Facilities at Paynesville Primary School
We are very proud of our functional and attractive school. We have many shaded areas and well-established gardens, lots of trees, a dedicated kitchen garden where we grow lots of fruit and vegies, which also includes a mud kitchen for the children to play in, a chicken coup, two separate hard court areas for ball games and other painted concrete games, two separate adventure playgrounds, two outdoor basketball courts, a fenced bike shed, a workshop shed where children can learn bike maintenance and other mechanical, carpentary and building skills, a giant, shaded sand pit complete with boat for climbing/playing, lots of separate grassed areas for bigger ball games and many quiet, passive play areas.
Our buildings include nine classrooms, a magnificent library, a computer pod, a large separate classroom kitchen building, another large separate art, science, computer and music building, and a large hall where we hold our assemblies, drama performances and concerts, and also contains our canteen off the side. Paynesville Primary School is also situated right next door to 4 tennis courts, which are available for school use, and is walking distance from the Paynesville Foreshore where we are lucky enough to participate in Open Water Learning and Sailing courses. |
