Grades 3/4 Annual Production
Every year the Grade 3/4 students put on a play as part of their Performing Arts studies. It's a lot of work, learning their lines and working on their confidence to perform on stage in front of a live audience but it's also a lot of fun!
The performance is usually based on a popular movie, story or play but includes their own quirky humour. It is produced purely by the Grade 3/4 teachers and students.
Practice and rehearsals usually take place during Term 3 with a matinee and an evening performance on the last week of Term 3.
Grade 3/4's 2018 Production of Matilda got a lot of laughs from the audience!
Shine your way
Shine Your Way is a new program on Friday mornings for the Grade 3/4 students, run by Ali Oates and Fiona Cooper. It takes place in the Vicki Keys Hall at Paynesville Primary School and is a place where kids are free to be themselves in a safe, supportive and loving environment. This program will be effective in building the stage presence of our Grade 3/4 students in time for their annual production!
Children are encouraged to bring in something that shows everyone their unique talents! If children play an instrument, if they have some sport, or dancing trophies they are proud of, if they have a passion for writing poems or stories, a favourite painting or drawing they are proud of, or anything at all that makes them happy and they just love doing for themselves!
There is never judgement, only encouragement to believe that whatever it is that makes children "shine their way", is an amazing talent that they can share with the world and show them just what makes them the awesome person they are!
